When Sophie David arrived in Los Angeles in the early 1980's, she expected to live a life of luxury. As the daughter of a wealthy Ethopian army officer, she was used to getting what she wanted. When her marriage fell apart, what she wanted was a new lover. She found it in a man named Fekade Ashine.

Suspicions Lead To Murder

But that relationship wasn't working out too well, either. She suspected Fekade was cheating on her. David was furious, and police say on July 10, 1991, she confronted Fekade. Police say she got out of her car, walked up to him and from a couple of inches away, shot him. Then, according to officials, she walked back to her car and calmly drove away.
