Police Say Registered Sex Offender Abducts Girl

Police in Cedar Rapids were searching for 37-year-old Roger Bentley.  They say the registered sex offender abducted 10-year-old Jetseta Marrie Gage from her home about 8:15 pm and left in a pickup truck. According to cops Jetseta is mentally challenged. Lieutenant Kelly Fitzpatrick says they didn't have much to go on because most of the information is coming from the girl's younger brother. He says the children's grandmother was taking care of them when Bentley took the girl without permission. He says the grandmother was in the house, but wasn't there to stop the child from disappearing. Fitzpatrick says they don't know why Bentley would have taken the girl or where they were headed, but they believed she was in danger. Jetseta is 4'6\" and weighs 90 lbs.  She has brown eyes and shoulder length hair. She was last seen wearing an orange coat and purple pants. Police say Bentley is 6'1\" and weighs 225 lbs. He has blonde hair and hazel eyes. He has a tattoo on his right shoulder. He was wearing a flannel shirt. Cops were looking for a 1982 black and silver Datsun King Cab pickup truck with a silver topper with an Iowa license plate 392 MIZ.
