Cops Say Swim Coach Was Secretly Making Movies

Police in Lancaster, Pennsylvania say Lorrie John Trites coached young female swimmers -- women who cops say had no idea that as they changed their clothes in the Franklin and Marshall College locker room, Trites was videotaping them. Cops say Trites placed video cameras high in the ceiling ductss and even hid cameras under towels to spy on women as young as 13 years old. For a while he got away with it. But on January 23, 1998 some of the young women found a video camera and turned it over to campus authorities. When police tried to interview Trites, they say he invoked his fifth amendment right to avoid incriminating himself. Before they could get another interview, Trites withdrew money from his bank account and disappeared.
