Police Search For Fugitive After Missing Girl Returns Home

The Richmond Police Department in Virginia has reported that 17-year-old Monica Sharp returned home voluntarily on the morning of Monday, October 24.  She had been missing since September 18, 2005.Police were still looking for Jeffrey Nichols, the 57-year-old Illinois man who is believed to have disappeared with Sharp. Police say the two met on the internet.  A warrant was  issued for him in connection with his use of a communications system to commit offenses against children. \"She appears to be in good condition, but is undergoing a medical examination today,\" said Kirsten Nelson, a spokesperson for the department. \"It's a case of a runaway who came back.\"Police continued to look for Nichols' vehicle, a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero with the Illinois tag 621-9015.According to local media reports, Nichols' vehicle had been seen in the alley behind Sharp's home since she returned home.
