New Bedford Man Shot Dead

Cops say on August 19, 1990 George Viera and his friend were walking along a popular New Bedford street. According to officials, a car pulled up driven by Daniel Navedo and Navedo asked whether the two men wanted to buy drugs. George approached the car and said, \"Do we look like druggies?\" At that point, authorities say Navedo, then 17, pulled a .22-caliber handgun, shot and killed George. Navedo hasn't been seen since.
